The window specialist will bring samples of the different types of windows as well as the other options. This will either be physical samples and/or in a catalogue.

Our window designer will measure every single window in your home. The designer will also get more details surrounding each window set. This could be things like the type of handles, the external or internal colour of the frame, the security locks… The window specialist will also keep you right in terms of legal and security requirements. Such as where secured glass needs used, or the openings on the windows.
You can also discuss special requirements such as better sound insulation. This can be done by using triple glazed windows, but due to the extra glass panel, the window unit can be very heavy. The second method is to use a double glazed window, but with one glass panel thicker than the normal thickness. this in essence, makes the window unit lighter than using triple glazed windows. Both yield very similar results.
Once all the details have been ironed out, the windows specialist will prepare a detailed proposal and quote based on everything you discussed, chose and decided. This will include the colours, the sizes, the handles as well as anything else required.
You will then receive a detailed schedule for when the installation of the windows will take place. There will be no surprises as you will have the details of every single window to be installed.

One of the methods to reduce the cost of new windows is by knowing exactly what you are looking for. You could also take out the old windows and dispose of them yourself, but the drawback is that you will have no guarantees of workmanship and it could make the job harder if the windows have not been taken out properly.
